Wicklow County Council is in the process of reviewing the Wicklow County Development Plan 2010-2016 and is currently preparing a new Wicklow County Development Plan for the period 2016-2022. Unlike previous plans, there will not be a separate Enniskerry Local Area Plan.

If you have an interest in Enniskerry you are strongly encouraged to peruse the report as it contains a number of items that may have far-reaching implications for the village. For example, Enniskerry is the only one of the “Level 5” locations that previously had a Local Area Plan in which, according to Wicklow County Council, there is a deficit of zoned land and in which the new plan will provide for additional residentially zoned land.

It is anticipated that the proposed Draft Plan will be issued to members of Wicklow County Council in late Summer 2015. Members will then consider the proposed Draft Plan and will adopt/amend it before the Draft Plan goes on public display in Autumn/Winter 2015.
