The Enniskerry Festival takes place this weekend, with a fantastic line up of activities and attractions for young and old. The festival is a great community event and this year it will provide vital support to Purple House Cancer Support, Open Door and Enniskerry Joint Parishes. Starting off on Friday 7th September, one of Ireland’s favourite bands Bagatelle plays live from 8PM at the Festival Marquee in Monastery House. Sunday Service on RTE1 Television tomorrow (Sunday 2nd September) will be celebrated by Archdeacon Ricky Rountree with the Powerscourt and Kilbride parish community. The service will be one of Ricky’s final undertakings before he retires from active ministry this month. It will be broadcast live on RTE1 television from RTE studios in Donnybrook, beginning at 11.10am tomorrow morning.

The Enniskerry Victorian Festival takes place once again on the second weekend of September this year (7th – 9th September). One of the great benefits of the festival is the ability to provide support to charitable causes and the festival committee is now assessing applications from charities for 2018. If you are aware of or involved with a charity that you think might particularly benefit from the festival’s support, the committee would be delighted to include them in the application process.
