County Wicklow Network for Older People (CWNOP) provides a voice for older people at local, county and national level on policies and issues important to older people’s well-being. They are seeking volunteers in Greystones, Kilcoole, Bray, Enniskerry, Wicklow, Roundwood and surrounding areas for their Ambassador Programme.

The role of CWNOP Ambassador will be to identify the concerns of older people by engaging with older people’s groups and others who interact with older people and raise awareness of the Network and other resources for older people within communities.

The programme has been operating in South Wicklow for the last year and the CWNOP Ambassadors there have sought input from older people through focus groups and interviews on issues such as energy hardship and the household charge. They have also promoted and raised awareness of events such as elder abuse awareness workshops.
