The Story of an Ancient Mariner – Enniskerry Library, 30th April
The Story of an Ancient Mariner
A 10-year old Dublin boy is sent to Kerry by his Swedish father to learn his trade as a sailor. In 1903 steam power was replacing wind power, so to perfect his skill he must first learn to sail.
In this talk, Bill Nelson relates the many adventures of his grandfather, William Nelson, from a written memoir.
The event takes place in Enniskerry Library on Wednesday 30th April at 6.15pm .
