St Brigid’s Weekend celebrations at Powerscourt
Powerscourt Estate will celebrate creativity this upcoming St Brigid’s Day weekend with a craft showcase & inspiring event.
If you are looking for an inspiring and heartfelt experience this upcoming St Brigid’s Day long weekend. Powerscourt Estate is hosting a unique five-day showcase of the work of skilled practitioners and artisans from Wicklow’s digital craft trail, in the beautiful surrounds of the entrance hall to Powerscourt House from the 1st to the 5th of February.
The showcase celebrates the launch of Wicklow’s inaugural digital craft trail – “Made in Wicklow: Head, Heart & Hands”. The Wicklow digital craft trail is a platform and a comprehensive showcase for forty-one (41) of Wicklow’s skilled craft practitioners and artisans and presents a curated display of the county’s unique, excellent, and diverse craftsmanship. The showcase is Free and open to the public and gives visitors a unique opportunity to have a sneak peek inside Powerscourt House. The showcase opening times are from 2pm on St Brigid’s Day, Thursday the 1st of February and from Friday 2nd to Monday 5th February (incl) from 9.30 am – 5pm.
The Powerscourt Distillery is also set to honor Ireland’s patroness of brewing, healing, poetry, and fire with an immersive St Brigid’s Day event on Sunday, 4th February, their third annual celebration of the feast. Taking place in the distillery visitor experience, it will encompass the spirit of Brigid herself; the day will be ablaze with cultural enrichment, from poetry readings to sessions with wellness experts and the spark of innovation from leading business and community figures.
