Powerscourt Parish Veteran, Vintage and Classic Car Show – Sunday 29th May
The team organising the Powerscourt Parish Veteran, Vintage and Classic Car Show is gearing up for fun-filled day on Sunday 29th May. There will be a carefully curated exhibition of vehicles from the 1900s to the 1980s, headlined by the iconic Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. A truly unique selection of vehicles will be on display, including a historic 1918 Stutz Bearcat, which competed in the Peking to Paris rally, a magnificent Mercedes ‘Gullwing’ and a rare Ferrari 275 GTB. The entrants will be battling it out to be crowned winner of the Public, Entrant or Celebrity Choice of vehicle on the day.
Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the occasion, from car enthusiasts to families and friends and those looking for bargains from the various pop-up stands. There will be plenty of family fun, with children’s games and social opportunities to catch up with old friends and make new ones. Refreshments will be available in the Catering Village and from the various pop-up stands. Visitors will also be entertained by the fabulous Steadfast Band, who’s varied repertoire is sure to appeal to all ages! The raffle will provide an opportunity for those who want to be in with a chance to go for a drive in Chitty, as that, as well as a host of other amazing prizes will be on offer. It will also be possible to have your photograph taken at the show whilst sitting in Chitty.
Taking place in the grounds of St Patrick’s Church, Powerscourt, Enniskerry, the show will be open to the public from 11am – 5pm and free parking for visitors will be available in the field at the entrance to Powerscourt Estate. Family tickets (2 adults and up to 3 children) cost €20, General Admission (aged 16 and over) is €8 and Children under 16 are €4. Exhibiting vehicles are €15 and include 2 people.
