Enniskerry FC Scrap Metal & Old Clothes Fund-raiser This Weekend
WHO FOR: Enniskerry FC
WHY? With 400 members, 90% of which are children (60% boys, 40% girls), the 12 months running costs of the club are approx. €42,000 p.a (2011 accounts). €26,000 income came from membership subscriptions (57%), the balance of €20,000 (43%) came from fund-raising.
Expenses include: club kit (€3,000), Insurance (€3,300), League fees (€3,360), pitch maintenance (€15,000), referee fees (€2,000), training equipment (€4,400), to name a few headliners.
So this is our MAIN fund-raising effort of the year – and we REALLY NEED YOUR HELP!
WHERE: Powerscourt Country House Hotel Car Park, Enniskerry
WHEN: Saturday 13th April through to Sunday 21st April (yes! all week!) – but mainly this Saturday!
Also: steel garden furniture, gutters, steel window frames, trampolines, swings, washing machines (concrete base removed), solid fuel cookers, kettles, gas heaters, food mixers, barrels, diggers, engines, fire places, copper, old clothes lines, bikes, toasters, corrugated iron, hay runers, milk buckets, milk machines, old cars, ploughs, railway lines, slurry tanks, toppers, tractors, trailers, wheel barrows and more!)
