The Irish Times was trying to identify the man in this picture. Thanks to all the www.landoverclub.com readers who helped solve the mystery! We published the photo on www.landoverclub.com today and several local people have contacted us to identify the mystery man.

His name was Barney Doogan and he lived at the bottom of Kilgarron Hill in Enniskerry, just down the road from the Forge where the picture was taken. Barney passed away some years ago, having spent his final years in Ballywaltrim in nearby Bray. According to those who knew him Barney was a very popular and well liked man.
