Enniskerry Forum made a submission to Wicklow County Council (WCC) in relation to the above application.

While the submission was not accepted due to a technical error WCC’s part, Enniskerry Forum has had extensive correspondence with WCC on this matter. Arising from this engagement, Enniskerry Forum believes that the issues it raised in relation to flooding, heritage, environment, visual aspects, etc will be considered by WCC in their assessment of the Cookstown Road planning application.

WCC have now written to the developer/promoter requesting detailed additional information, details of which are available on the WCC website (application reference 141704). The Forum will keep the community updated as this matter progresses.

It is important to restate that Enniskerry Forum is not anti-development but it does seek to ensure that larger development applications are sensitive to the local environment, community and aesthetic.
