“People of Enniskerry” photograph appeal and exhibition
Saturday 24th August 2013
Parochial Hall Enniskerry 2.00pm – 5.00pm
A small portion of the Enniskerry History exhibition held in May included a collection of old family photographs that had been shared on the Enniskerry History web site. The photos were a great hit, with people recognising neighbours, friends and family members. Also to our delight some villagers brought and shared their own photos on the day.
We are aware that not everyone has access to, or the ability to use, computers or the Internet so we intend to hold an exhibition in the village in August displaying the photographs collected so far, for all to enjoy.
It would be wonderful if we could collect more photographs before the exhibition so we are appealing to all those in the greater Enniskerry area that might be willing to share any photographs dated up to and including the 1970s.
If contirbutors are willing to make copies themselves they can leave them into ‘Kennedys of Enniskerry’ addressed to Michael Seery. For those without email, Internet or scanning facilities we would be happy to scan or copy your photographs for you. To arrange scanning/copying of photos please contact Úna Wogan on 086 1676316 or Margaret Blackbyrne on 01 2828764.
If people have the facilities to scan photos themselves they can upload them to www.enniskerryhistory.org or email them to enniskerrylocalhistory@gmail.com.
Please help us preserve all our photographs for future generations to enjoy!
