Enniskerry Gospel Choir will present a wonderful evening of “Carols by Candlelight” on Friday 14th December at 8pm.

The concert will take place in the beautiful setting of St Patrick’s Church in Enniskerry. Admission at the door is only €5 and light refreshments will be available.

The concert will also be a farewell evening for the choir’s musical director Judy McGrath who hangs up her baton after many years of dedicated service to the choir, both as accompanist and musical director.

Judy has been involved since the choir’s earliest days as first deputy Musical Director under Dr Neville Cox and has in recent years taken on the role of Musical Director whilst completing her recent studies and preparing the choir to sing at her own wedding this year in St Patricks Church.

She has led the choir at many Parish, local and national charity events (occasionally taking the choir around the country as well), with such energy and enthusiasm both at the keyboard and with the flute – and has supported Naomi Clarkson in the formation of the Junior and Teen Choirs and in their performances over the years.

Members, past members and friends of Enniskerry Gospel Choir would like to wish Judy all the best for the future.
