Halloween at Glencree’s Armoury Café
The Armoury Café and Visitor Centre located at the heart of Glencree’s Centre for Peace and Reconciliation has been taken over by ghosts and ghouls for the season. It has long been recognized that the Centre with its history dating back to the early 1800s has been haunted. Its history as an army barracks followed by a reformatory school and a cemetery on its doorsteps makes this story very believable. However, recently these ghosts and evil spirits have moved from the main buildings into the Café and Visitor Centre. If you dare, please visit the Armoury Café and Visitor Centre. Kiddies in particular are welcome on Saturday 29th – Sunday 30th to partake in Halloween activities. Phone 01-2829711 or email reception@glencree.ie
The Armoury Café and Visitor Centre has joined the spooky virtual world of Facebook. Please become a fan to help us rid the Café of these menacing characters. Find us on Facebook by searching for ‘Armoury Café’.
While the conference and accommodation facilities have temporarily closed at Glencree’s Centre for Peace and Reconciliation, the Café remains a much needed facility for staff and visitors coming to the area. It stays open 7 days a week 9.30 – 5pm.
