Enniskerry Gospel Choir Concert: Saturday 14th June, 2008

Enniskerry Gospel Choir are holding a concert in St Patrick’s Church, Enniskerry in aid of the 150th Anniversary Fund of ‘Churches Together’ in Enniskerry.  Later this year it is the anniversary of both St Mary’s and St Patrick’s churches.

The choir, under the leadership of Dr Neville Cox, will perform an evening of Gospel music comprising arrangements of gospel and contemporary music with some original compositions written for the choir.  This event is also the final appearance of choir co-founder Neville Cox as he is retiring from the choir this summer after 5 years.

The concert starts at 8pm in St Patrick’s Church on Saturday 14th June 2008 and tickets are priced €20 (concessions €15) including light refreshments afterwards in the Parish Hall by the Clock Tower.  Tickets can be reserved by calling/texting Brian on 086 810 5692.  Reservation is recommended.

An Evening of Gospel Music – Election Day Special!

Enniskerry Gospel Choir are performing an evening of Gospel Music in aid of both the Parishes of St Mary’s and St Patrick’s Churches (where the choir regularly appear in services) on Election day!  Light refreshments included after the music and the evening starts at 8.00 pm in St Patrick’s Church.

The choir is led by Neville Cox and members come from the north Wicklow, south Dublin area.  There will be a variety of gospel music and arrangements of other pieces in gospel style, as well as some works written specially for the choir. 

Tickets are €15 (adults) and €12 (children/seniors) and are available from St Patricks Parish Office in the National School in Enniskerry village centre (Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri  9.00 – 12.30) or via the ticket order line on 086 810 5692.  It promises to be a lively and entertaining evening – an ideal alternative end to Election day … so:
