Calary Arts Festival

On Friday Oct 12, the Art Exhibition will be officially opened and there will be a reception at 7.00pm followed by a concert by the Wicklow Ladies Barbershop Choir, which will commence at 8.30pm. Tickets are €15 and €10 for concessions.

On Saturday Oct 13, the Art Exhibition will be open between 11.30am and 6.00pm. During those hours, there will also be a plant and country produce sale.
That evening, there will be a recital by Gavan Ring (baritone) to specially commemorate the bi-centenary of the publication of Thomas Moore’s Melodies. Tickets are €15 and €10 for concessions.

On Sunday Oct 14, the Art Exhibition will be open between 12 noon to 3.30 pm.
At 4pm, there will be Harvest Festival Evensong with Voxtrot (former choristers and friends of Christ Church Cathedral).

The Festival is again being sponsored by Wicklow County Council and Calary will be making donations to Fields of Life in Uganda, the work of Sister Mary Killeen in Kenya and Wicklow Hospice.

Enniskerry Gardening Club

After a very enjoyable summer season, when we visited many beautiful and interesting gardens in the area. We return to our indoor activities this month.  On Wednesday 3rd October we have an illustrated talk on the Garden Pond by Dick Mallet.  This is our annual Royal Horticultural Society of Ireland lecture and should be a very informative evening. The meeting is at 8p.m. in the Parochial Hall in Enniskerry, all welcome.
